There are only five main ingredients in this barbecue sauce, and it is incredibly simple to prepare: put everything in a saucepan, mix and cook to the desired density. The taste of the sauce is complex and multifaceted, with acidity, light sweetness, smoke and spice. The sauce is perfect for serving with ready-made meat, burgers, and greasing, for example, chicken before grilling. It can be stored for a week in a bank in the refrigerator or for 6 months in a freezer, spilling into several containers.

Recipes use volumetric containers with a volume of:
1 cup (st.) – 240 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml.
1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 can (200 gr.) Tomato paste
  • 3/4 Art. tightly packed dark brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. l spicy Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. l seasoning barbecue
  • 2 tbsp. l Worcester sauce
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp. water

Recipe preparation:

  1. Combine all the ingredients together in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over moderate heat. Reduce the heat to maintain a slow boil, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is evaporated by about half or until the desired density, about 1 hour.
  2. Cool completely, then transfer to a container, seal tightly and refrigerate. Use barbecue sauce for 1 week or freeze for up to 6 months.
