At home, you can cook super-tasty potato chips with the popular taste of sour cream and onions. They will turn out as crispy as purchased, but only with a natural, understandable composition. To thinly chop the potatoes, use a mandolin vegetable slicer. Slices should lie in saline for several minutes to remove excess starch, and then dry them completely. You can fry both in a deep fryer and in a cauldron filled with oil, and when the chips are ready, immediately sprinkle them with a mixture of spices based on dry buttermilk and onion powder, which will give them the same taste. Keep the chips slightly ajar for several days if you can hold on for so long and not eat them.

Recipes use volumetric containers with a volume of:
1 cup (st.) – 240 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml.
1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.3 kg potato russet, washed thoroughly and finely chopped on a mandolin (approximately 0.2 cm.)
  • 1/4 Art. + 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 8 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp. l dry buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp. l onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. l garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Sahara
  • 3 tbsp. l chopped fresh dill

Recipe preparation:

  1. Mix 8 tbsp. water with 1/4 tbsp. salt. Put the chopped potatoes in the solution and let it brew for at least 20 minutes. Then dry the potatoes thoroughly on paper or kitchen towels.
  2. In a large cauldron, heat the oil to 175 ° C.
  3. In a spice mill, mix dry buttermilk, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar, dill and the remaining 1 tsp. salt. Grind until smooth.
  4. Fry the potatoes in small portions until it turns golden brown, for 2-3 minutes. Mix immediately in a large bowl with a small amount of spice mixture. Then put the chips on a baking sheet and sprinkle with a mixture of spices again.
