This variant of the favorite American dish of mak-n-chees is very popular in the restaurants of Paula Dean, and it is surprisingly simple to prepare. Hot pasta-horns are mixed with grated cheddar and creamy sauce, and then everything is baked in the oven until the sauce becomes whole with cheese and pasta. If you prefer an even more viscous casserole, feel free to sprinkle more cheddar on top of the mac’n’chiz. A lot of cheese never happens when it comes to pasta.

Recipes use volumetric containers with a volume of:
1 cup (st.) – 240 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml.
1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 tbsp. boiled pasta-horns, drain the water
  • 2 tbsp. grated cheddar
  • 3 eggs whipped
  • 0.5 tbsp. sour cream
  • 60 gr diced butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp. milk



Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.
  2. As soon as you cook the pasta and drain the water, put them in a large bowl and, while they are still hot, add the cheddar. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients and add to the pasta mixture.
  3. Put the pasta mixture in the casserole and bake for 30-45 minutes. If desired, you can optionally sprinkle with cheese.
