There is such a fish – flounder, with a flat body. It can, of course, be fried in a pan in vegetable oil. And you can cook on the grill without excess fat. Only for this we need one more device – a board made of any fruit tree or oak, solid, with a thickness of at least 3 cm. The cooked flounder turns out to be very tender and with aromas of smoking.
- Flounder 3 pcs.
- Salt 1 tsp
- Ground black pepper 1 tsp
- Refined sunflower oil 2 tbsp.
How do we cook smoked flounder on the grill? We prepare the fish, it should be well chilled. We clean, remove the insides, tail, fins. Rinse, dry with paper towels and cut into pieces.
Mix black pepper and salt and sprinkle pieces of fish. Add refined sunflower oil and mix so that all additional ingredients are well distributed on the surface of the fish.
The board should be soaked for 6 hours in advance in clean water. The heat from the coals must be stable. We lay the board on the side on which the fish will be cooked, down to the coals. After 4 minutes, turn over the charred side up and lay the fish on it.
Hold the fish board over the coals for 25 minutes. Distance from coals – 10 cm. Flounder does not need to be turned over! We eat finished fish directly from the board. Indescribable pleasure! And enjoy your meal!
